COMPETITIONS
Throughout the year, there is the opportunity for all club members to enter and participate in a number of competitions and track meets.
Just some of these are detailed below. There is no obligation for our members to compete - these are just opportunities that are on offer.
If your child is aged 11 or over, there is an annual England Athletics registration fee of £17.
Cross Country League
The Border League Cross Country League involves four races during the months of November to March. The league sees clubs from Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire compete and serves as a great introduction to competitive running. Entry cost - £3 per competition
Sportshall Athletics
The Surrey Sportshall Athletics league takes place between the months of October and January and provides athletes an opportunity to take part in a range of running, jumping and throwing events. There are three events in total. Entry cost - £10 per competition.
Quad Kids
In May, Young Athletes Club in Guildford host a Year 7/8 Quad Kids Competition for Surrey Clubs, providing athletes the opportunity to compete in 100m sprint, 800m run and long jump. Entry cost - Various
Track Open Meets
Throughout the summer season there are opportunities for athletes to take part in a number of track open meets and development leagues - a great opportunity to begin participating competitively. Entry cost - Various
Other Events
Throughout the year, we signpost members to a range of other events and competitions including triathlons and organised events.
