Aldershot – Sunday 20th September 2025

The SEAA Road Relays in Aldershot marked the first competition of the new season for Impact Athletic Club, and what a way to begin! This prestigious event attracts clubs from across the southern part of the UK, bringing together some of the finest young endurance athletes in the country. The standard of competition was incredibly high, but our Impact athletes rose to the occasion, proving they belong firmly amongst such company. For many, this was a valuable experience to test themselves against the very best, and the team spirit and determination on display were second to none.

 Under 13 Boys

Our U13 boys fielded both A and B teams, giving plenty of athletes the chance to test themselves against a top-class field of 92 teams. For many of our year 7 runners, this was their first outing over the longer distances of this age group, and they all embraced the challenge superbly.

A Team – 50th overall (36:26)

  • Leg 1: James Weed got the team underway, holding his own against a fast-moving field and bringing the team in 52nd with a strong time of 11:47.

  • Leg 2: Eli Vice maintained good rhythm and consistency, completing his leg in 12:29.

  • Leg 3: Making his club debut, Thomas Oliphant showed no nerves whatsoever. In his very first competitive outing for Impact, he ran a superb leg of 12:09, lifting the team to 50th overall.

B Team – 52nd overall (36:49)

  • Leg 1: Joshua Taylor set a great tone for the B team, running the quickest opening leg across both Impact teams in an impressive 11:36 — placing the team 44th at the changeover.

  • Leg 2: Adam Gruet, another of our talented year 7 athletes, delivered a determined leg of 12:31.

  • Leg 3: Finlay Moncur brought the team home with a great effort of 12:41, finishing 52nd overall, just behind the A team.

Both teams can be proud of their efforts, with James, Elijah, Thomas, Josh, Adam, and Finlay all contributing valuable performances. Special mention must go to the year 7s — Thomas, James, Adam, and Josh — who adapted to the increased distance with maturity and ran with real confidence.

 Under 13 Girls

The U13 girls produced one of the standout sets of performances of the day for Impact, with both teams finishing well inside the top half of a field of 66 teams.

A Team – 20th overall (37:40)

  • Leg 1: Mya Keelaghan Clow-Wilson stormed through the opening stage with a rapid 11:52, handing over in 19th place. This was one of the quickest runs of the day from a year 7 athlete and a fantastic demonstration of her potential.

  • Leg 2: Bailey Burnand delivered a steady run of 12:42, keeping the team inside the top 20.

  • Leg 3: Eva Duncan anchored the squad with a committed effort of 13:05, securing 20th place overall.

B Team – 27th overall (38:43)

  • Leg 1: Simone Mustapha ran strongly to hand over in 24th place with a sharp 12:04.

  • Leg 2: Year 7 athlete Emily Wicka tackled the longer distance bravely, clocking 13:39 and keeping the team in contention inside the top 30.

  • Leg 3: Freya Finding, also in year 7, produced an excellent anchor leg of 12:59, pulling the team through to 27th overall.

This was a hugely encouraging set of performances. Mya, Emily, and Freya — all in Year 7 — deserve particular recognition for stepping up so impressively, while Simone, Bailey, and Eva showed consistency and composure to round out a strong day for the U13 girls.

 Under 15 Boys

The U15 boys entered two strong teams in a highly competitive field of 92 teams, with both groups showing determination and quality.

A Team – 45th overall (32:23)

  • Leg 1: Etienne Victor opened the race for Impact, setting the tone with a solid run of 10:41.

  • Leg 2: Leon Bleach delivered one of the standout runs of the day for Impact. His leg of 10:04 was among the stronger times recorded across all second legs, and his surge up the field lifted the team 25 places into 36th.

  • Leg 3: Leo Skerten battled strongly on the anchor leg, clocking 11:37 and bringing the team home in 45th overall.

B Team – 69th overall (35:03)

  • Leg 1: Tobias Frost Pedersen ran with commitment, clocking 11:21.

  • Leg 2: Milo Inman kept the momentum going with a battling run of 12:14.

  • Leg 3: Harry Myerson produced a strong anchor leg of 11:28, lifting the team to 69th overall.

The A team impressed with Leon’s exceptional second leg charge, while the B team showed consistency and determination, gaining valuable racing experience against tough opposition.

 Under 15 Girls

The U15 girls fielded both A and B teams, each producing committed performances in a field of 70 teams.

A Team – 32nd overall (37:05)

  • Leg 1: Lucy Richards got the team off to a flying start with a superb run of 11:04, handing over in 17th place.

  • Leg 2: Rosie Greenwood recorded 13:09, keeping the team in the top half.

  • Leg 3: Florence Dury anchored with a composed run of 12:50, securing 32nd overall.

B Team – 50th overall (41:06)

  • Leg 1: Rose Hollingshead ran strongly to clock 12:46, handing over in 51st.

  • Leg 2: Millie Goad battled through her leg in 14:12.

  • Leg 3: Jessica Latchford produced a determined final leg of 14:08, moving the team up to 50th overall.

Lucy’s sharp opening run for the A team was a real highlight, but every one of the U15 girls showed resilience and team spirit in what was a very competitive race.
